“The room was in the basement with no hot water, small, and dark. The pool was the size of a large bathtub, and all small clean little prison compound. It would of suffice for a night or two, for about a 1/4 of the price i paid. But at $160 a night, it sucked. Worst hotel.com place ive ever stayed in Costa Rica.”

“We did not even stay the night here despite losing money. It was run down, property did not match the description of being on beach but was a long walk away. Beds were hard and there was a dog running free throughout. I cannot recommend this place unless you simply want a cheap bed. The ad needs to properly represent the facility. It's a hostel, not a lodge ,as well.”

“We recently enjoyed a relaxing week in Sámara at Cima del Mar, and it was everything we wanted. The apartment was clean, the kitchen was well-supplied, and the bed was comfortable. The view from the balcony is amazing, and offers incredible views of both sunrise and sunset. The rooftop area provides a quiet place to enjoy the shade and breeze, even in the hottest part of the day. The pool is perfect for a quick swim to cool off and enjoy the view. Bring binoculars if you want to try to spot all……

“Wow! This place has amazing views and is a short hike to town. Alejandro the property manger is like a concierge…he knows how to direct you to anything you want to know or do. The pool is awesome and steps away from the ground floor apartment. We took a shuttle to Sámara and were ok hiking up the hill to the apartment. But if that isn’t your thing, a 4 wheel drive would be necessary, like a quad or SUV. Highly recommend.”

“We stayed at this house with a private pool and had a mixed experience overall. On the positive side, the house was spacious, nicely laid out, and the pool was great. We also really appreciated the flexibility, as we were able to arrive one day earlier on very short notice. “We loved the pool and outdoor area! The landscape is truly beautiful and the pool temperature perfect. The patio and barbecue for Casa Nautical really added to it. Inside we had some issues since the unit was not equipped with dish clothes, tea towels and there seemed to be a mix up with the cleaners that we were even there. They wash the sheets once a week but missed us and then brought the wrong size. The manager is prompt to offer solutions but it took a couple of weeks to get everything……
