Very Nice hotel and very close to the beach.

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: Very Mom and Pop type hotel.
Cons: it is a hotel anything you do to a hotel is an improvement, but all in all it was dood.
Location: the location is a little fuzzy and you have to want to go and find stuff to do and that was very easy.
Comfortable rooms beds were just right if you like firm, food at hotel was good.

Good for a quick getaway

Posted Feb 24, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel doesn't have a gym or wifi. It has an ocean view but the beach is not made for other than watching the waves. The pool and the restaurant is nice. The hotel is overall clean but doesn't have a lot to do. So is good for a quick weekend getaway no more than two nights.

They need a Hotel sign

Posted Feb 4, 2015
Over all stay was good, is was hard to find, they don't have a signage telling people where the hotel is located. They have no vending machines and after 10pm the place is shut down tight. Make sure you have plenty of stuff to eat/drink when staying.

I booked for 2 nights and only stayed 1 the bar was empty and it took them 10 mins to get me a beer, when i get to the room there was no towels, when i pick ip the phone to call front desk the phone was dead, i walked there and asked for towels 4 hours later still no towels i had to go back to get them. When i check the bed the sheets were dirty and discusting i had to go back and they changed the sheets. Not once did they apologize i had enough and left after 1 night the refund for the second night has been a nightmare ive called on multiple ocations they told me to ask for Maria and shes never there and worst of all they told me they have to send a check for my refund worst service ever

Beautiful location, nice staff, terrible room.

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Friendliest staff ever, beautiful pool, excellent view and beach access.
Cons: Room quality. Far too damp and moldy.
Location: Oceanside drives, not too far from Fajardo's ferry.
I have to say that Parador MaunaCaribe has the nicest hotel staff ever. Seriously, I have never met a front desk person as nice as here. The waiter in the restaurant was super friendly and the food was good. The pool is gorgeous and the ocean view is tremendous, as is the fantastic drive over the Panoramic Highway. Even with all that, I cannot recommend this place due to the poor quality of the room. The door does not seal properly, so the room is soaked and moldy. My pillow was downright wet, and the sheets were damp. The chair had visible mold. The A/C smelled like mildew. It came with bug spray to kill mosquitoes and whatever else may be living in there. There were two small rugs near the bed that were soggy. My wife and I slept on top of our own blankets in the bed. If you are backpacking through PR, this is a stellar deal due to the location. If you are looking for a nice getaway, you may want to reconsider.
