"We visited for 4 days and stayed a 5th day so we could get another day of skiing in. We were comfortable, the place was heated, warm, cozy and away from everything which is what we wanted. There’s a store in town (Reeds) where you can grab groceries, Redding is a half hour away, Shasta 1.5 hours. Peace, quiet, Serenity, good for the kids to run around. Plenty of firewood for the old school stove. Beds cozy. Office nearby. Hottub wasn’t overchlorinated which was nice. They should make it lighter...

"Lovely place for our family to stay and easy access to everything. Comfortable with all the amenities we needed (clothes washer/dryer, dishwasher, hair dryer, etc.) and more (toothbrush/paste, cotton balls/swabs, Keurig, tea, etc.) to feel at home. Enjoyed the warm fireplace and especially the fire pit for roasting marshmallows! Josh was pleasant and communicative even after we checked out because we left behind some items. We hope for another chance to come back and explore more of the area....

"Once a year my family gets together for a family reunion at a ranch in Cottonwood. The reunion is filled with a ton of family activities, swimming, and the occasional all day lake trip to Whiskeytown. Leaving the party each night to return home to this little cottage was nothing less than the title suggests"
