“Sandhouse was a wonderful find! Our room was delightful with a perfect sea view. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.”
“Centrally situated for Donegal town and good parking at hotel. Room in need of a total revamp, huge room but tiny cabinets. Tv is out of date and not up to standard. Bathroom is badly planned with no room to place any equipment. Shower is poor and bathroom has a bad damp smell.
A little attention to detail, updating and cleaning could bring this hotel to the standard expected.”
“This was a great location for a central area to explore, the hotel was clean and the building was well taken care of! would highly recommend.
Parking on street is difficult during day, but free after 6pm.
there is a parking area less than 5 minutes away.”
“Very convenient central location, room was clean and the staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. Town bus stop and taxi rank are almost immediately outside, so public transport is easy to access.”
“Wifi is a bit slow. It is a beautiful golf course in Ireland. It is a great location for sea views and walking. It has a lots of facilities for families.”
“Unfortunately not a great stay. Quite an odor in the hotel not sure what it is. The pillows were terrible, the lighting in bathroom was like a hospital. Couldn't get help with bags down from our room so we likely wouldn't come back. Just not a comfortable stay compared to others on our trip.”
“Depending on how much you pay, this is a good place to stay if looking for somewhere near Donegal Town with parking facility. As a guest house it mainly has classic decor/furniture style and although it feels homely, maintenance needs were evident. Security is relatively basic for a quiet location out of town, particularly room doors operated by key alone. Breakfast service is good as were the staff helpful and welcoming.”
