“Great place to stay with dogs. Nice rooms and a kitchen. They also provide EV Car charging which I took advantage of for £20/day. This property does not come up on the Hotels.com search filter for EV charging locations. ”

“Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. ”

“Have stayed many times. It is clean comfortable and excellent value. The home cooked food has limited options but what there is is always tasty, hot, fresh and good value. Breakfast is excellent. I would not choose anywhere else if coming to the area. A solid 10/10 here.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Sue and Clive, food was amazing and we would like to thank Sue for going the extra mile in helping us find button holes for the wedding we were attending during the Easter bank holiday.”

“Lovely little ‘quirky’ hotel. The owners were delightful and very helpful. Food was delicious. I did find the stairs to the room quite a challenge due to osteoarthritis, but mobile people wouldn’t find this an issue. The room was adequate and serviced daily. The was a tv - the fact that I could only get one channel at a set volume added to the overall experience. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were replenished daily. Bathroom was small and could do with a touch of paint, but……

“Beautifully decorated and appointed. Large TV in room. Comfortable bed. Only negative is that the room was hot so had to open window and nearby road is noisy. Also walls thin so could hear people in next room using bathroom, coughing etc. Which disturbed my sleep. ”

“After returning to the area after 16 years, we chose this hotel for the personal touch over other chain options. The hotel's staff was amazing and accomodating. They provided great service and every meal was delicious. The Thomas Paine Museum was of special interest and full of information for this history buff. We cant wait to book our next trip.”
