The hotel is very nicely situation in the lower town and close to the water, but not right in the very busy part of lower town. Location wise, we found it nice, but be aware that the way Quebec City is situated, you will most likely need to walk up (or take funicular) to the top of the hill for many activities/dinners/food. You can walk to restaurants and activities in the Old Port as well as in the lower town, but the Chateau Frontenac and old fortifications as well as many restaurants will require a steep walk. The standard room provides a normal size bed (not queen) and a European sized room. This means it can be a bit tight if you have a lot of luggage, but it's definitely bigger than some rooms we've had when in Europe! The bathroom is quite small with the sink outside, but the shower was impressive with multiple showerheads at different levels! Check in was helpful and clear and there was an elevator, although if you don't have luggage or mobility issues, the stairs are not bad.

Great location and property . A couple of issues - there is no soap dispenser for the shower so you must squeeze it into your hand by the song prior to entering the shower . Very inconvenient. Cleaning staff could have replenished water bottle daily and amenities for bathroom ie cottonballs , etc but did not. However front desk staff were excellent and extremely helpful
