  • Nestled in the heart of Salt Spring Island, Creek Cottage offers a serene escape alongside a beautiful seasonal creek and deep mossy forest. This stand-alone cottage is the perfect blend of comfort, privacy, and natural beauty, ideal for solo travellers, couples, or small families looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

    Situated in a quiet, mossy forest with a fairy-like ambiance and charming seasonal creek just outside, perfect for morning reflections and evening relaxation. The creek typically runs September - July (depending) and when it rains.

    Easy access to local shops, cafes, and the island's artisan markets.

    The cottage is across the street from Duck Creek and Channel Ridge hiking trails and mountain bike trailheads just a 3-minute ride away.

    Nearby Amenities: Only 3 minutes from the Vesuvius Ferry, 5 minutes from grocery stores and other essentials, and 10 minutes to the town of Ganges.
    Beach access is 5 min car ride away. There is a nearby cafe, pizza shop and fish and chip shop!

    Inside the Cottage:

    Studio-Style Living: Cozy, open layout with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

    1 Cozy Bedroom Area: Features high-end bedding for a restful night’s sleep after a day of island adventures, bird watching, spa-going, coffee shop hopping or whatever else you get up to.

    Well-Equipped Kitchen: Includes essentials for home-cooked meals, quality cookware, tea, oils, spices, and a Breville espresso machine for your morning coffee.

    Living Area: Relax with a book by the electric fireplace or enjoy streaming options on the 65-inch smart TV, with access to YouTube, Crave, Netflix, Apple TV, and Samsung TV.

    Bathroom: Stocked with eco-friendly toiletries, plush towels, and a spacious shower.

    One parking spot is provided.

    I live on-site and do yard-work as needed. Your interaction with me is up to you! I am here if needed. My default is to let you have your space and drop into your own experience.

    You will see deer and a beautiful array of birds. We are off the road so you will hear traffic from time to time. If the creek is running, that is what you'll mostly hear, however. We do not have any pests, rodents or predators on-site. The cottage is comfortable and rustic only in its external appearance.

    There are no laundry facilities in the cottage, but I am happy to run a load for you if requested with a small fee. Laundry request papers are found in the cottage to fill out with instructions.

We really enjoyed staying at this cottage during our first vacation at Salt Spring Island. Even though it's not far from the road, it feels a bit like we are in the middle of a forest. The cottage is just perfect for the two of us. There are not as many restaurants in Vesuvius as in Ganges, but it's not far and it's nice to be on a quieter part of the island.

Perfect little cottage in the woods with a lovely creek meandering alongside it. I especially loved that the Duck Creek Park entrance is across the street.

This was the perfect place to stay! The cabin is very nice, bed is comfy, and the location is so quiet and peaceful! The sound of the creek at night lulled me right to sleep. Stephanie was a wonderful host, I will definitely stay again!

I SENT EMAIL TO SAYI MAY BE A LITTLE LATE GETTING THERE. I ONLY GOT A REPLY FROM EXPEDIA STATING THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY. NEVER DID SEE THE OWNER. DOOR WAS LEFT OPEN FOR ME. THE ROAD TO THE SITE WAS CLOSED. FOLLOWING DETOUR SIGNS I GOT TOTALLY LOST . FINALLY ENDED UP IN TOWN. A VERY FRIENDLY CLERK IN A HOTEL HAD A MAP & WE FIGURED OUT HOW I COULD GET TO MY PLACE. AN EMAIL & DIRECTIONS FROM OWNER WOULD HAVE SAVED ME A LOT OF FRUSTRATION. THE TV ONLY HAD STREAMING SITES. I DO HAVE PRIME BUT I WAS UNABLE TO SIGN IN. FORTUNATLY I HAD MY COMPUTER & A BOOK. THE SITE COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY GIANT BOULDERS & HEAVY BRUSH. NO REAL WAY TO GET NEAR THE "CREEK" OR TO EVEN WALK AROUND.

We stayed 3 nights. The creek was running so at night it sounds like a lullaby! Clean , great location and the host was sweet. We would stay again for sure.

Under a canopy of trees, we were quickly able to submit to vacation mode and let yesterday’s stressors melt away. Although the cottage is tiny, it has everything you need.

The cottage is very comfortable and well cared for. The bed and bedding is very soft and cozy. Everything you need is provided. Stephanie provides very clear instructions and support. We had a really peaceful weekend get-away.Tip: to lock the door, you need to pull it closed while following the pin pad instructions, otherwise it won't lock. We highly recommend this cottage and will likely stay again when we get a chance.

The little cabin was clean, quiet, and well outfitted for a nice vacation in the Gulf Islands. The only sound we heard at night was a baby dear softly calling for its mother. Hope they were reunited. The location of this spot was also pretty convenient for reaching all the sites on Salt Spring and there's a nice beach close by.

Cozy and Peaceful Forest Retreat

Beautiful, clean, and warm studio cabin in the middle of the forest. Total peace and quiet, even with the host’s house nearby. We even spotted who we think was Donna, the local deer! Shops and restaurants are just 5-10 minutes away. Overall, a perfect getaway!

I had the most magical stay at this little forest retreat on Salt Spring Island. From the moment I arrived, it felt peaceful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The suite itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The huge windows looking out into the trees made it feel like staying in a private woodland sanctuary.The bed was extremely comfortable, the lighting and decor created such a calming atmosphere, and every detail felt intentional and welcoming. I especially loved how quiet and secluded everything felt while still being close enough to explore the island.At night, the property completely transformed; the string lights on the deck and softly lit pathways created such a dreamy atmosphere. Sitting outside surrounded by the forest was honestly one of the highlights of my trip.My only concern was that the listing stated coffee and tea were supplied but there was a very small amount of coffee and a small selection of teas. Could use more overall. This place perfectly captures the relaxing, west coast Salt Spring vibe. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a beautifully curated space, this is it. I already can’t wait to come back.
