Great experience. This hotel is five minutes walk from the National Theater, that is, in the central area. It fronts a street, there is a gate and a bell, and always a manager in duty even all night. From the street it just looks like a house front. But behind is a classic style hotel. Very friendly ...
The staff at this historic hotel couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. Go see Alfredo at the bar for a delicious drink and great conversation!
I am always happy to stay at the Balmoral Hotel because of it's location to restaurants, shopping and museums. The rooms are nice and the included breakfast is very good.
Property was pretty much as advertised. Good TV and internet, great grocery store nearby and two very nice restaurants within walking distance. Would have given this property a much higher rating if not for the heavy infestation of cockroaches. They were everywhere; in the dishwasher, the microwave, ...
wendy's place is fantastic, clean, safe and close enough to the city to be both a great home base and romantic hideaway. this family run property was professional but homely and welcoming. i have nothing but praise for the little resort that they have created hear with modern and well kept accommodation ...
There is so much to see and experience in a very natural and organic environment. Staff is very attentive. The setting is very intimate and the room - El Valle is gorgeous with a beautifully decorated living area that includes a cascading internal water feature. Tasteful art decorated every nook ...
Great apartment. Great owner. Highly recommended.
Everything is walkable and nice selection of day trips to choose from
The rooms are pretty basic and there is quite a bit of noise from the street, but the location makes up for it. The National Theater is just around the corner, and it's on a pedestrian only shopping street with lots of entertainment.
great location.....noisy trains but they stop at night....Nice family hotel and home made breakfast and sw=owned by a family that cares I do not speak spanish but they were fine with understranding me and getting to right places. Just stay here no a/c and not necessary
Cozy little family-owned hotel in San Jose. Like many places in San Jose, it is closed up like a prison, with bars and locks to get through. Once inside, the family that runs the place couldn't have been nicer. We arrived at their mealtime and they offered us a share of their own lunch! Really great ...
Hotell located close to Plaza cultura , easy access to all facilities
I had a great experience in particular with reception and the breakfast bar staff. The breakfast included eggs made to order and was delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel
Nice staff but facilities not great for the price. breakfast not great. could do better.
First of all. Hotel staff is really nice. Front desk staff and the restaurant folks are great. Juan Carlos has been there a long time and very nice to talk to. He will call you to wake you up to remember breakfast. Breakfast is a nice typical Costa Rican breakfast. Juice / Coffee / Tea along with ...
