“I stayed at this property with my husband for almost a week. Super quick walk to the beach from our room and the hotel provides chairs and umbrellas. Our favorite amenity was the bikes that they let you check out. We rode the bikes all over the Island and it was wonderful. The staff refreshed our towels every day while we were out so that was really nice to come back to. The only negatives are that there was only 1 mirror in the room and it was in the bathroom and the TV was hard to navigate at……

“Loved this bayside villa! A large condo very close to the beach!!! Outdoor seating space overlooking the bay was nice. I was greeted by a sea otter in the early morning. I loved my time in Captiva and can’t wait to go back. The host was very responsive and checked on me throughout my entire stay to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I need. ”

Fan on porch didn’t work..needed extra pillow covers not enough towels for showers oven doesn’t turn on until you reset the breaker in panel in kitchen floor was wet throughout when we got there had to use beach towels to wipe up pool must not be heated was cool other than that good location oh ya no door mats to clean shoes on and no dust pan and broom to clean up sand on floor and had a hell of a time getting remote to work on tv. “I have stayed at South Seas many times over many years, so it makes me sad to say I will NEVER go back. The pictures that are portrayed of the unit are all lies! The place is like a ghost town. It is filled with construction workers. Worse yet, you do not have access to the resort or any of its “few” restaurants. You are not told any of this during booking. The pool that you do have access to was filthy. I spoke with the registration person who admittedly took some responsibility for the fact……

“The Condo was very nice, very clean and in a great location. Easy access to the beach and short distance to shopping, restaurants and Captiva. It wasn’t a bad experience but I think there are something that would be nice. The grounds and pool were clean. 1. Please put hand towels in the bathrooms! 2. Remove 3 inch mattress pads. “Great unit & perfect location. Beautiful view of the marina side & wildlife (osprey, manatee, herons, etc). Quick 5-10 minute walk to the beach on the Gulf side. Pool & hot tub right next to the unit building. Plenty of parking & 10-15 minute walk to downtown bars & restaurants. Host was very responsive & generous. Highly recommend!”
