"Very authentic experience. A very old building close to the Sassi (caves). Only a small number of rooms so none of the hassle of a busy hotel. Nice roof terrace. Very good views. Spacious rooms. "This place is very remote. Dark to get to at night. Check went as promised except our Canadian credit card wouldn’t work in their payment machine. So ended up paying cash. Property is very cute. I heated pool. We passed on breakfast so can’t comment on that. Room was very clean. Safe. Must have a car. 20 minutes drive to Bari. Peaceful and quiet. "

"No hot water for a shower this morning! Seriously??? I ran water for 5 minutes...nothing. I waited 30 minutes...still nothing. I had to take a wet towel bath with cold water this morning. The whole seperate bathroom is strange enough but to have no hot water for my shower is absolutely unacceprable! Never again. Ugh!"

"I stayed on short notice at Casale di Maria and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The room was very charming and unique - in one of the historic sassi (cave hewn into the rocks) but with all the modern amenities you could wish for. I had parked a long way away but Walter, the owner, gave me a ride to my car and guided me to a parking spot near the house where I could park without getting a ticket till the next morning. Domenica, who manages the property day-to-day, stayed in online...
