“Beautiful cabin in beautiful setting. Cabin was well furnished, had well stocked kitchen, and modern amenities. There were lots of attractions within 30 minute, scenic drives from the cabin such as Tanglewood, Monument Mountain, and other Berkshire and Columbia County attractions. Avid cyclists will find smooth roads with good shoulders and light traffic. As noted n another review, there is a rail line about one mile from the cabin, thus inevitable noise on occasion. It was well worth the trade...

“The house is very comfortable and perfect for visiting with family and friends.We enjoyed the roomy kitchen space. The porch is great for relaxing and gazing at the tranquil lake. We appreciated the use of the canoe and the dock.”

“Beautiful and clean cabin with stunning lake views. Short drive to the Great Barrington which we loved. Also the Les Trois Emme winery which was only minutes away - the wine slushie is a must! Loved everything about our accommodations and our trip to the Berkshires. ”

“We had a wonderful week exploring the area with family. Lakes, ponds, and waterfalls galore. Great food (try Tallow in Millerton, The Black Rabbit in Lakeville, and The White Heart Inn in Salisbury). A perfect home base, cozy with all the amenities, and thank goodness for AC as the beginning of the week was unreasonably warm. Everything was wonderfully, just as described. Thank you!”

“Cheryl’s place is a lovely cottage near the lake. We loved everything they did to make our stay more enjoyable, from many pairs of water shoes (definitely helpful for swimming!) to folding chairs, floats, and many different coffee-making options. We also loved the wind chimes and napping bed on the screened-in porch.The swimming was good, although it’s a busy lake with many motor boats. We had some long swims and the water was warm / comfortable. It’s best to swim near shore to avoid the boats....

“My daughter & I came up from NYC for a family get-together and the cottage was perfectly located -- & sized -- for us. Loved it! Cozy and warm even though it was single digit cold the whole time. Really appreciated the comfy beds, the fire stove and the holiday decorations. Had hoped to make a fire in the fire ring out back... but it was just TOO COLD. Lots of things to do, restaurants & shops in the area -- next time in better weather!”

“From beginning to end, could not have dreamed of a better island getaway, in the Berkshire’s none-the -less. Bill was a wonderful host. Very friendly, responsive and helpful. Super welcoming. The home was simple, quaint, and super cozy. Perfect for a nice long relaxing weekend for both the dogs and people. The views from the sun room were lovely. The deck/patio area had a beautiful view of the water. The fire pit was a nice perk in the evening. Surrounded by water, the place felt so private....

“We were lucky enough to find the Cottage right before July 4. Our son and his wife's whole extended family were spending the weekend in the same Beachwood neighborhood. The immediate area is fabulous for a low-key, family-oriented weekend. The cottage has been updated with room airconditioners and heat, a cooktop, fridge, etc. That said, it's a cottage and not a hotel. Although we did do a bit of cooking there, it would be hard to cook a full meal with any frequency. Still, we really had...
