"This was a great place to stay for privacy and serenity. The cabin was super cute, clean and had everything you could need for a night or long weekend. The hosts made a personal card welcoming us which was very special. Firewood was available for our evening comfort. "

"I would say if you want a very comfortable stay nice bed good TV friendly place you found it , it is not ritzy it is plain super clean nice size room great location friendly staff I paid twice as much at a Quality Inn and it was a dump. I was traveling and used this as a center to visit the area "

"Beautiful area and perfectly adequate. The property is a bit run-down, the room smelled musty, and the beds were not comfortable. Appreciated that it was pet-friendly and the breakfast was delicious!"

"Been here several times and it's always wonderful. On the surface, it's a nicely appointed motor lodge or cabin, but it's the whole situation that makes it incredibly special. Big Meadows sits on the edge of a mountain, with a view into the Shenandoah Valley. There is a restaurant with a stunning view right from the dining room, a grill, and pub, all of which have different food, and you can walk out right from there on a number of hikes. A quick drive along Skyline Drive will bring you to several other iconic hikes of all difficulty levels, and many excellent views right from the road. Watching the fog roll up the mountains and through the trees around the lodge is magical. The one thing to be aware of is that the bathrooms are pretty basic and the water pressure is meh. But the ambiance and location can't be beat."
