"Chose this pub as an overnight stay enroute to Scotland. We booked a table online for dinner as well. The room was excellent. Evening meal was superb as was the breakfast the following morning. "Nice clean room and very comfy bed. Had a skylight rather than a window so no view but great black-out blind. Shame about the miniature sink though, bad design! Nice to have a continental brekkie included. Very convenient for the station and town. Do try Coulls fish'n'chips, delicious, thanks for recommendation."

"Usual YHA setup but in interesting and peaceful location on a private courtyard, nice and quiet even in the heart of Berwick. Breakfast made to order and very good, includes coffee or you can have one made on an espresso machine for an up charge. Private rooms available with en-suite was a good balance of value for money and privacy"

"On line book in. Which worked. A breakfast hamper continental style which worked well. Room had everything needed for a two day stay. Its a downhill slope walk of 14 minutes from Railway station and a bit longer going back. Local buses close. Plenty of local cafes and fish and chip shops handy. Location very good for walking the town walls. The absence of staff seen did not distract from what was a pleasent stay.I would use the hotel again if visiting the area."
