As this was our first time in St. John, Newfoundland they took the time to answer our questions and made us feel completely comfortable that our choice to visit St. John from Toronto, Ontario was an excellent choice. ”

“No water fountain!! Why should guests have to buy water in plastic bottles. How hard is it to install water fountain. Otherwise superbly maintained, hotel lobby and room in top condition. Gives a Vegas vibe. Java cafe and exile are good dining options. Great location!”

“Perfect cozy stay! The space was large enough for two, private, and the location was perfect! Near enough to be accessible to everything, but far enough away to avoid noise and traffic. Space was perfectly decorated! We loved that there was no TV! Staff was also very helpful!”

“Needs AC. No one to ask for assistance. Code to front door wasn’t correct. Door access pad only has numbers 1-5. Our access code had 7 and 9 in it as well. . Without another patron we would’ve never gotten inside to access our room.”

“The room was very clean other than they have carpet and I never feel like carpet is really clean. The lobby and hotel inside were very clean and well kept. However the outside could be made to look abit nicer. The one thing that I felt could have been better is having security near the main front door to try to keep the homeless people from begging to guests at the front door. It made me feel uncomfortable around the hotel grounds. But again I understand there isn’t much that can be done about……

“My brother’s car was one of at least 3 cars to have its window broken and car broken into in the parking lot this week alone. Other hotels in the area have security guards in their parking lots. This hotel doesn’t. Other hotels have signs to alert you that St. John’s has a high rate of car break ins. This hotel doesn’t. Staff went to clean the glass before my brother even found out his window was broken. The police came as there was blood on his vehicle and around the ground near it. And they……

“I liked the kitchen and my kids loved the pool”

“For starters there was no hot water available in the room, either in the sink or the shower. The fridge did not work, and the phone in the room had no cable, so was not functional. At breakfast the restaurant was understaffed with servers who appeared not to know their job. We informed staff we were in a hurry but did not get drinks for 30 mins, and our breakfast arrived after 50 minutes, just as we had to leave. They also got our orders mixed up and brought my wife - who is celiac - a gluten……

“I really have nothing to say in reference to liking the property. I was very surprised. It was probably one of the worst hotels or in. I should say that I’ve ever been in. We booked because it was walking distance to a concert there. The lady on the front desk, Nora was very kind and helping us through the ordeal, but in regards to management the manager, Natasha was not accommodating when it came to refunding our booking. We walked into the hotel checked in, looked at our room. I was not……
