"We had our "cousin retreat" at this wonderful house with 5 cousins traveling from across the country. The house was perfect! The decor is fun, the neighborhood is peaceful, and the host was lovely. There was more than enough room for us to spread out as well as great spaces to hang out together. We enjoyed coffee on the back patio listening to the birds and saw cardinals in the back yard. Located only minutes from the square with its quaint shops. Highly recommend!"

The kitchen was well-equipped and even came with fresh eggs from the owners' chickens—such a lovely touch. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. "Great cozy place. Well decorated and it had just about everything I needed. Host was attentive to asks such as extra firewood, and quickly resolved a lock out. While this was a great stay in winter, in summers it would be even better to enjoy the soak tub, the outdoor firepit and marshmallow roasting kit as well as the plethora of stars visible from the home. "Hot Water has to be ran for a long time before it will get hot, we had to take cold showers the first night, the second night the water was hot finally. "Our family of five (kids ages 5, 4, and 4) just returned from a weekend at this house while attending a family wedding. I've stayed at several rentals over the years, and nothing has been near as good as this property. The decor was beautiful, the rooms were large, the kitchen was full of any items we could need, the dining area was comfortable, and the living room provided a great opportunity to watch some movies (several streaming apps available on the TV) with the kids in front of the fire...

"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge! It is way out in the woods, away from traffic and any city or town noise. The private drive is tricky, but my little Nissan made it with care.
