The Watermark Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"My third time staying here and it’s just as fresh as since it first opened. I stayed a week in the Park Hyatt in DC before coming over to Tysons for a few days and this hotel is better in so many ways than the Park Hyatt. The staff are friendly, the rooms are fresh, spacious, new and clean and the vibe is young and energetic. I only wish the breakfast were a little less holiday innish and a little more curated with more variety but can’t really complain especially at this price point. Will be back for sure again."

"There was a dance club playing very loud music until 2-3 am on Friday and Saturday nights. Literally blaring across the alley from all the rooms on my hall (I was in 409). I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and not had this problem. When I registered a complaint, I was told that they could offer me ear plugs and a drink coupon. They should not be charging $300+ a night for these rooms! It was like trying to sleep on a dance floor."

"The property is under construction. Read their website for an accurate description of what is available. There really is no lobby. The room was small but clean, quiet, with a comfy bed. The restaurant has a limited menu, there are plenty of food options all around the hotel. The pool is clean and relaxing, the gym has upper scale, well kept equipment. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would love to go back and stay when construction is complete"

"We were supposed to have breakfast with the room and were not provided any tickets for getting it. Had to pay out of pocket for expected amenities. There's no where to smoke except on the street, yet there are smoking rooms. The view wasn't open for anyone except private parties. Seemed like a lot of money for really no amenities."

Omni Shoreham Hotel

"My Wife & I picked the Omni because it is close to our daughters apt although it's a little more expensive that we would normally choose. It has a lovely pool, the lobby goes on forever & features several snack/drink options. It also has activity areas for children. Our room was comfortable with nice shower. Our 1rst morning about 8:45 there was a lotta noise. When my wife opened the curtain to see we were surprised to find a man on scaffold 2 feet away. Later at the pool we observed many such occurrences on the other side of the building. Perhaps this was necessary but a heads-up might have been nice. Parking in the area is tough & valet is higher than we would choose."
