We had an uncomfortable encounter with the manager checking us in, who was offering to “upgrade” us to a two-bed room when we had originally booked a king. When we declined, the manager kept asking if we were sure, repeatedly, which made us very uncomfortable as a queer couple. When we finally checked in, we were placed in a room that reeked of smoke, and did not feel comfortable returning to the front desk due to the previous interaction. While staff the next day switched us to a new room, there was a notable lack of communication and confusion around getting us placed in a new room. While this hotel was a fine place to rest for the night, we will not be recommending or returning.
