“The room was very clean and tidy, the staff were friendly, and the bed was large and comfortable. The room had air conditioning, and the hotel is dog-friendly. Overnight charging was available for £15, and my car was fully charged by the morning. Overall, I was very satisfied with everything and would definitely stay here again.”

“Kingslodge Inn is a lovely English country inn conveniently located near Durham train station and bus station. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the bar & restaurant offer great good in a cozy environment. Just note that there isn't an elevator; I had to carry my big suitcase one floor up.”

“I am going to celebrate my husband's wedding. The hotel is cosy and unique, it has a nice restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast during our stay, and a small library bar where you can chill with friends. The room is spacious and warm, we love this hotel.”

“This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.”

“As you drive up the building was beautiful. Sadly inside the picture is very different, a really tired and run down place. The rooms very basic, cracked tiles in the bathrooms, everywhere in need of TLC, sticky threadbare carpets, non existent WiFi and water pressure. Dinner a disaster microwaved or undercooked food, that then arrived cold. The staff were lovely. The hotel is no way near a 4 star experience. So dissapointing.”
