“The hotel is self service type, don’t expect service of normal hotel. Still I met a staff during check and she is nice and helpful. The room has a double bed, which is a bit small (kind of standard in Japan). But it provides sofa bed for 3 more guests. So it is good for family of 4-5. The room is pretty new. “We stayed at Illi Nuta Shinjuku. They switched us from Illi Tas Shinjuku because apparently something needed to be done on the property. At first, the communication through Expedia messaging was abit slow, hard to get reply from the property. However, I was able to contact property management by phone and they were very responsive. Once on property, check in was very smooth. We were able to email management and they responded very promptly and took care of our issues. Amongst other……

“Overall, everything was excellent: the room was very clean, and the location was very convenient. We truly appreciated these aspects. However, I found the mattress to be too soft, which made it less comfortable for me. In addition, during my 11‑night stay, I noticed that cleaning service required an extra charge. I feel that it would be better if cleaning could be provided at least once or twice during a longer stay without additional cost.”

“Really enjoyed my stay here. This spot is a small 1 bedroom apartment in a quiet residential area that is just rented out as a vacation rental, so I didn’t feel like I was in someone’s home using their personal things. I was here for the Tokyo Marathon, so I appreciated how quiet the area was. If you’re looking to be in the middle of the busting city, this might not be your jam, but it was perfect for what I needed in this particular stay. I would stay here again for sure.”

The photos accurately reflected the room, and while it is compact as you would expect in central Tokyo—it was well designed and made good use of the space. We were 2 adults and had enough room for a comfortable stay. The location was also convenient for us.
