"We loved staying here! It’s secluded, intimate, and just picture-perfect. Abner was a great host and responded to small hiccups we experienced throughout the stay. There’s no light pollution so the stars shine bright and the howler monkeys made their presence known at night. The view in the morning is something to write home about. "This spectacular getaway is aptly named Dream Valley--and for very good reasons. The beautiful setting and spacious room exceeded the online description and photographs by far! Located along the Belize river, it is both private and serene, and a gorgeous place to watch the sun set over the jungle after a day long trip to the Must-Do ATM caves or a trip to Xunantunich ruins--which the staff helped arrange ahead of our arrival. We will be back, the next time for a longer visit. It was way too short at four days. "

"This is perhaps or ninth stay at this property. We had not been to Belize since 2022, and I can say that the quality of service and the property is even better than before - and before it was fantastic. Dory assisted with our room selection and checked on us our entire trip. She was accommodating and patient with us! Since 2022, there is a whole new resort on the property - the Banks - which comes with a new restaurant - Humo. While we preferred the food at the Grove and Don Totino's, the atmosphere at Humo is insanely beautiful. Indeed, the entire property is lovely with a great hike to a gazebo which gives you a lovely view of the mountains and the "Sleeping Giant." There are other hikes on property and I understand they will be offering yoga in the future. If you do not have a car, there are great trips that you can take, including a Ceremonial Cave (which I have done in the past and it was quite cool) tour, expeditions to Mayan ruins, cave tubing or kayaking, and cooking classes. There are different room types so check into what you most prefer. We have to been to most and like all but one that is too near the road and road noise by reception. It is a slice of paradise in the middle of the jungle that I cannot recommend enough!"

"Overall had a wonderful stay at this quiet resort with my family. The food was delicious for every meal, and the staff were friendly, particularly Rita who went above and beyond in her service and was so kind and friendly, she just seemed to ‘get us’. The pool area is also beautiful. We booked a day trip to Tikal through the resort, and it was the highlight of our trip! Marco our guide was outstanding in his knowledge and so friendly, it was well worth the price. Some things to consider, the welcome drink is a nice touch, but after a long hot travel up (went to the ruins on the way) to the lodge, we really would have preferred to go to our room first and freshen up. It felt akward to sit at the pool in our hiking shoes, and we felt sort of like we had to stay there for the drink. Maybe a drink ticket for later in the day would be a better option. Also, the set dinner menu gave little option and was extremely expensive with no pricing. For our family of 4, we were shocked at one dinner costing almost $300 usd! The second night we were given the option just do main dinner, not all 3 courses, but the fact that nothing was priced until after the fact was misleading. Other than that we had a wonderful stay, and would recommend for sure!"
