“The hotel is nice with a beautiful garden, but it’s not a good value for money. Everything is extra, including the room coffee which is $5 USD per day, after paying 900 USD for two nights! Breakfast is à la carte and the size is tiny. They charge service fee for the room mini bar. The restaurant is very expensive and does not serve local food.”

“Very nice property with great staff. The amenities are a bit expensive and remember that many cabins do not have air conditioning. This can be uncomfortable during the hot months. ”

“Amazing property, I loved the on-site access to five sisters waterfall. Just be aware that there is no air conditioning in the rooms.”

“The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. Super refreshing and pretty pool, and the beds were SO comfortable. ”

“We had a great stay at the West House overall. Good location if you want to be able to walk around San Ignacio (probably the nicest hotel in that area). The reason for the mixed review is that we had something “go missing” from our room during our stay. It wasn’t something that we would ever bring out of the room with us and the worst part is that it was inside one of our bags when we left the room, meaning someone either went through the bag and took it or it fell out during the room cleaning……

“I loved this place and wished I could stay longer. My room had a tilapia roof and it felt like a cozy nest. Lots of hot water in the shower! Staff all amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful. Tried restaurant twice. Food, service , ambience wonderful. Convenient walk to town and stores, bank, etc. Last but not least the resident cat Luna made me feel right at home.”

“The Kitchen staff is outstanding Oscar, Amy and Cindy are a skilled team serving exceptional food made from local sources George and the landscaping crew have created a lovely display of flowering plants. The care of the grounds is impressive. The room attendants provide extra touches and sparkling clean rooms Of course the whole operation runs flawlessly with Benoni in charge. He is a superb host ”

“A really beautiful experience. Table Rock Jungle Lodge doesn’t make a big footprint but does leave a big impression. Solar powered and sustainable, it’s clear that the management values the environment it is in. There’s nothing like listening to the sound of howler monkeys at night and the multitude of birds in the morning from a room that feels like a treehouse, but has all the amenities of a high-end resort.”

“Great menu great location portable road to get there no shampoo in the cabin which would have been nice and way too dark when you arrive at night for the first time but overall a great experience especially if you want to do zip lines or some caving”

“Overall, great stay. For the price, this hotel is very reasonable. Some minor repairs could be done though everything was clean. Front desk was helpful most of the time. Location was good - good restaurants in the area and walking distance to market.”
