“We arrived tired after a very long walk and whilst not particularly coherent, the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcomed. We felt like locals within 5 minutes (especially from Jonathan) and cannot thank the team enough for how easy they made our stay. We plan to return for dinner when more awake so we can fully enjoy the setting, menu and atmosphere. Thank you so much to all the team for being so accommodating!”

“New hotel - nice, clean, newly and tastefully decorated, great location in the middle of Henley-on-Thames, not far from the river. Good breakfast and dinner. Very nice external seating area with retractable roof and TVs to watch sport (world cup was on). Other good restaurants, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s Local nearby. Still need to fix some teething problems - coffee pods and machine provided weren’t matched, no air conditioning in the room (we stayed during a heat wave - electric fan kindly……

“Just perfect for our stay in Reading”

“A lovely place to stay . Unfortunately no air conditioning in this heat . Had a fan in the room which helped a bit staff were helpful and we had a lovely meal at the Boat House . Great location.”

“It could be a lovely hotel if the staff smiled and had a clue what was going on. There was a lovely and friendly lady on reception, and one of the waiter serving in the evening was friendly, as was one of the bar staff (Josh). Everyone else seemed a bit surprised to have guests, and the women working at the bar weee positively rude in their demeanour. It could definitely do with an injection of cash to update it. The money all seems to have gone on an overly complicated lighting system in the……

“We had an amazing night staying in the deluxe suite and it was spectacular. The room in the accommodations could not have been better. The staff in the bar, restaurant and hotel were all very nice and happy to help in any request that we had. Food restaurant was great and the atmosphere was terrific – definitely check out the Abbey directly across the street.”

“Absolutely superb in every way”

“The property is very clean, beautiful and well refurbished and right in the heart of Marlow. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food itself (breakfast) was a bit poor but OK. We didn't have any hot water to take a shower unfortunately but stayed only 1 night anyway. The room itself which was the only one available during booking was very very snug and air circulation at night made a bit stuffy but we would visit again , hopefully get a bigger room and hot water.”

“I asked if there was an iron as I needed to press my dress as I was attending. I was told there was an iron. Unfortunately by using the iron the sockets fused and I was unable to charge my hearing aids! The second night I put my aids on to charge, however when I tried to iron my top, the sockets had fused again! There is obviously a problem with the electrics in this room! I was able to use another room on my first day to charge my aids but it was very srtressful.”

“Hotel was in a beautiful setting and felt safe and secure inside the complex. The bed was so comfortable i didn't want to get up.Will definitely stay here again.”
