"Breakfast was great. The room 821 was a bit run down and looked tatty which we hadn’t had before when staying at The View. We also got hit for $21 parking which was a surprise as we haven’t pad parking before. One of the lifts was out of order which made accessing the room painful and the one operating light was crowded and slow to get to as a result. We have stayed at View about 5 times this year and this was the only time the room has felt worn and run down. The parking was an unpleasant surprise. "

"Well we’re do we start , room is dated no view paid for a upgrade spa room stuck in a corner ,carpet is a risk hazard waiting to happen ,frays as you walk into bathroom and throughout room had to ask for a additional chair so we could sit and eat as there was only one (1) chair in room Ordered breakfast and it the order on the door well and truly before the 230 am cut off woke up to NO breakfast when looked outside the door at 900am order still hanging on door come home to the the bathroom not cleaned at all spa still dirty This is the worst experience we have experienced with Novatel which we have frequently used for our previous accommodation Ordered room service for dinner and had to wait 1.45 hours for it to arrive then at 400pm dirty tray still sitting outside room ,DISGUSTING NOVATEL MELBOURNE ON COLLINS PICK YOUR GAME UP "

"We were a family staying and had an upgrade to the Victorian Suite. The entire hotel felt like stepping back in time if you like shows like Downton Abbey you will love this place. Our room was huge and the high ceilings made it feel even more spacious, the staff were extremely polite and helpful and the location was so convenient to everything we wanted to see in Melbourne. While we didn’t have the opportunity to try the restaurant we did get room service and the meal was delicious. I loved everything about this hotel and will definitely be looking forward to staying again."
