This is the oldest town in North Carolina. Blackbeard resided here many years ago and you can visit where his house was. Go by the old church and stay in the Bed and Breakfast. Bath is surrounded by the beautiful Pamlico River.
One a clear day you can see the world. Back road county on Route 306, miles of farmland and pine trees. Beautiful.
Take the FREE ferry across the Pamlico River. The ferry runs daily to Bath and back. Be sure to follow the schedule because sometimes at off hours it is over a two hour wait. Catch a ride and enjoy the crossing.
