“Staff was great! Friendly and informative. When we checked into our room it had a mildew smell. It was clean but there were air fresheners and an air purifier plugged in to try to mask the smell. There was a giant spider on the bedskirt that we were luckily able to catch and kill. Bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. There was the ice machine outside our door that was extremely loud when in use. Was woken up by train horns. Didn’t sleep too well. The free breakfast the next day……

“Staff is nice! Hotel is cozy and lovely”

“Checked in at 5am due to car troubles. The staff member at the front desk was short with us and seemed annoyed by the task of checking us in. We still had to pay full price for the 6 hours we were there, even though hotel was not sold out. Most places would have offered a discounted rate unless it was completely sold out. We asked for a late checkout, or for our room to be cleaned last since we had been up all night driving and was told no. We hung the do not disturb sign on the outside of our……

“Went to shoot a ATA trapshooting event (Heartland Grand) about 20 min away in Ackley, IA. Place was comfortable and the people were great. Everything you needed was right around the corner from getting provisions to dinner out with multiple choices, fast food to a sit-down home cooked meal. Room had a little kitchette with a fridge, sink and a 2 burner stove top, along with a microwave, so cooking some eggs and bacon wasn't out of the question!
