“My family and I had a great stay here! JP and his associates welcomed us and made us feel at home. Complimentary breakfast was great and the other meals were delicious. The room itself was great given you are in the jungle, so there was no a/c and typical sugar ants but nothing unexpected. The pool and the views were gorgeous. The hot tub was down while we were there but it wasn’t missed. We took advantage of the Lake Tour and La Tia’s massage services which were both worth the money. We……

“The location and property are absolutely beautiful! Incredible views! The grounds are kept meticulously! The rooms are clean and neat. The rooms are simple and yet elegant at the same time. The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant.”

“Wonderful simple cabins that are reminiscent of Costa Rica of the past, with very kind helpful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet clean escape into the cloud forest, this is the place. We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. “We only stayed one night. We chose Posado Río Celeste La Amistad to swim in the blue Rio Celeste River on their property. This was the perfect place to get a $ 5 USD-a-piece ticket within walking distance of the hotel. It's family-owned, and they take such pride in their establishment. We were upgraded to the Superior Cabin, which is very spacious and quiet. The abuela (grandma) took us on a night walk to see many frogs in the garden. There were several dogs and cats, and a talking parrot, on……

“Our family had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. The views are truly outstanding. We enjoyed a variety of different activities while in the area, but cooked all our meals in the room. The kitchenette is basic, but we managed just fine. The included breakfasts were a highlight - plentiful, fresh, homemade and delicious! We heard howler monkeys and saw toucans from the balcony! Don’t hesitate to book this property if you want a unique, beautiful, and peaceful place to stay while touring around……

“The nicest people and wonderful hosts. I mentioned that we would be celebrating our daughter’s bday while we were there and they knocked on the door with a huge slice of chocolate cake and a candle and sang Feliz cumpleanos. It was the sweetest thing and so special for our family. It was such a kind gesture and it set the tone for the rest of our time there. Breakfast was a lovely production. We entered the dining room and they just started bringing out entree after entree, fruit, eggs, gallo……

“Best Stay of Our Costa Rica Trip — Malekus Mountain Lodge This was, hands down, the best place we stayed during our 10 days in Costa Rica. Not only is the property itself beautiful, but we had the pleasure of being the only guests, so Roger and Rosy treated us like family. They helped us shape our itinerary to have a more authentic, local experience, and honestly ended up defining our whole trip.
