Hotel very dated and could do with updating. Food and drink ok but very expensive.

Amazing find great staff so very friendly everything has been so thougthfully done. Room and hotel very clean and quiet too Just a short walk to the sea and sunsets Breakfast was well cooked with good choice Its not a full service hotel and they make this clear giving a choice of good local resturants that do need to be booked in advance for meals other than breakfast It was so good we extended our stay and plan to return soon

My husband and I had 2 nights stay at The Crown. Check in was not until 3pm but we got there at 1.15pm and we was able to have our room which was great. All the staff were very friendly and made us very welcome. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and the food was lovely. We had one issue with the room. The air con wasn't working, we reported this but don't think it could be fixed, but no one actually confirmed this with us so we had a fan put in the room. But this didn't do anything and we were waking up through the night absolutely baking hot. Window was open but didn't do anything and with the window open there was lots of noise due to the amount of traffic going through. When checking out we wasn't asked how our stay was and if everything was ok. When we have stayed at other places they have always asked.

Great service and super breakfast. Room small and hot and a bit run down. Relatively expensive but it was festival weekend.
