We contacted the hosting company for a resolution and their first solution was they can cancel the reservation and not charge us the cancellation fee which was very irresponsible suggestion as that was our first night there and the temperature outside was below freezing. They insisted that the unit we were given is the similar to what we booked which was incorrect because the layout, the number of beds and rooms were not the same as the pictures and description. The host company said the unit will not match the pictures since they have many units and I explained that is false advertisement as I booked the unit based on the pictures posted on Expedia. I asked for the price difference between what I booked and what was given to me. After many back and forth, both parties agreed on the price. However, the refund I received was less than what we agreed on due to currency conversion even though both parties agreed that that the refund should be in USD as I was charged in USD.
