Welcome to the “Heiwana” a family-friendly house located in the heart of Traverse City. You’ll be within walking distance to the best beaches, breweries, and restaurants. Come home to 3 beautiful bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, and a spacious living room. Can comfortably sleep up to 8 guests.

We are Pet-friendly! Pet fee is $125 per stay. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. Please let us know if you are bringing a fur friend so that we may get your pet amenities prepared for your arrival. We try our best to keep hair and allergens away, but guests with dog sensitivities should be aware. Please use our provided sofa cover and 'retired' towels for your fur friends. Booking guests will be responsible for any pet damage.

Quiet hours are observed after 10pm. We are in a residential neighborhood so please make sure to respect our neighbors. No unauthorized parties are allowed.

Aside from the perfect location near all the major Traverse City attractions, this cozy home also boasts plenty of sleeping areas for families and groups to spread out comfortably. (Note that all three bedrooms are located on the third floor.)

The light and airy master bedroom features a king-size bed, a roll out bed and an ensuite bathroom. There is also a Pack N Play, toys, and children's games available for young families.

Bedroom 2 is outfitted with a queen-size bed, a ceiling fan, and a closet.

Bedroom 3 features a queen-size bed, a closet, nightstand with reading lamp and ceiling fan.

There is also a twin roll-out bed (in closet), a twin fold-out sofa bed, and a full-size futon in living room, allowing a total of 9 people plus an infant - a rare commodity in the center of Traverse City.

The home is equipped with 2.5 bathrooms, so there’s no need to jockey for space when you’re getting ready in the morning.

☆☆ KITCHEN & LIVING ROOM ☆☆
The open concept kitchen and living area make it easy to hang out together while the chef in your group whips up tasty meals.

The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with modern stainless steel appliances, a blender, a toaster, insta pot, and even a separate coffee station to make your mornings as easy and enjoyable as possible. Seating for two is available at the island bar, and the dining room table can seat an additional six. If you’re traveling with youngsters, there is a high chair in addition to children's bowls and utensils.

Relax in the cozy living room after a big meal. It is outfitted with two comfy sofas (which can convert into sofa beds at night), a flatscreen TV, a fireplace, and a large collection of children's books, toys, and board games that the whole family will love. If you’re craving a breath of fresh air, head out onto the balcony off the living room. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee or snuggle up with a good book on the outdoor furniture.

Please note during our peak season (June-September) we discourage late check-outs and early check-ins due to the tight turn-around schedules of our cleaning teams. We are happy to allow for an early check-in or late check-out if our cleaning team is able to accommodate the request and still allow the rental to be cleaned to our quality standards and specifications. All early check-ins and late check-outs will be charged a $250.00 additional fee for this expedited service. We are able to accommodate early check-in and late check-outs during our off season (October-May) for a reduced fee of $50.00, please contact us for further information.

Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.

Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days after check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Your privacy and security are paramount, and all card information is handled confidentially.

We aspire to help our guests create wonderful memories in our cozy home. That is why we spelled out these house rules for an optimal experience for both of us. We truly appreciate your effort and cooperation!

*Please note that violation of any of these rules is considered a breach of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. The owner reserves the right to evict any guests or visitors who refuse to follow these house rules. The violation of house rules may result in deductions from the security deposit or other penalties. 

Child Safety: Parents must not leave children unsupervised and are fully responsible for their safety at all times. 

Safety & Energy Saving: Please close the windows and lock the door when leaving the premises.

Report any damages and/or breakages immediately.

Cleaning and Maintenance: 
Smoking or burning candles are not allowed inside the home. No eating or drinking in bedrooms.

Please do not wear shoes inside the house. Please turn off any electronics when you leave the house. 

Visitors & Noise:
No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 6 people. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Third parties are not welcome, and the place is for guests only. Quiet time after 10 p.m.  Please refrain from making noises past 10 p.m. to respect our neighbors.  NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.

Pets: Dogs are permitted in the house. Please declare your pets to us ahead of checking in and settle any pet related fees. Pet fees is $125 up to 2 pets. Please clean up after your fur friends and use the provided retired towels to clean your dogs. Please do not let your dogs venture into the neighbor’s yards during their walks.

Housekeeping:  Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will be happy to help arrange additional cleaning during your stay for a fee. If you run out of clean linens (sheets/pillow cases) and towels etc., you are welcome to use the laundry facility to replenish them. PLEASE do not wipe any food, oils, or lotions on the linens. Please use the kitchen towels (paper or cloths) for their intended purposes. 

We provide black make-up towels and cotton pads for removing makeup. If our other towels are stained or bleached during your stay, we will charge a $15 replacement fee for each towel.

Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager will not assume responsibility for illness or injury that guest(s) may incur while on the property. Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager, is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or property of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are assuming the responsibility of any harm arising from their use of the premises or other people they invite to this property (per owner’s approval). Owner has the right to ask guest(s) to leave the property if these rules are violated. If legal action is taken against guest(s), the at fault party will be responsible for all law suits/lawyer fees. Any violation of these rules could result in you being charged your security deposit and/or legal action taken. Call 911 if there is an emergency and then call the host.

ATTENTION: Missing garage door opener will result in a $200 replacement fee.

Pets:
We have the following rules for our guests with pets or Assistance Animals. This ensures that both your stay, and that of our guests after you, will be enjoyable and relaxing. Our pet fee is $125.00 for up to two dogs. Maximum occupancy is set at 2 dogs under 50 pounds each. If you have any questions, please ask us! The guest remains liable for any and all damage caused by people or pets or a service animal.

•Your animal should not be left unattended at any time. Should that become necessary, you must have and use a crate for your animal at all times while you are gone and provide them with sufficient food and water. Please use the labeled pet towels/sofa/bed covers/sheets for your pets cleaning needs and separate them from the towels/sheets provided for guest use.

•You are responsible at all times for your animal's behavior. While we reasonably expect that your pets or specialty animal are well-trained, should any damage occur, you are responsible for the cost of any cleaning, repairs, or replacements.

•Your animal should have a collar, harness, or microchip with identifying owner information attached should it become lost.

•Your animal must be under the control of verbal or sight commands that they follow at all times.

•Your animal must be housebroken, non-aggressive, not destructive, and not display repeated, unprovoked barking.

•We can ask you to remove your animal and/or leave for excessive barking, aggressive or damaging behavior, or obvious lack of sanitation.

•Please walk your animal for bathroom needs. Indoor piddle pads are not allowed.

•Please clean up deification immediately.

•Please keep your animal off the furniture and counters unless it is specifically needed for your disability.

Perfect place for a guys golf trip or a friends weekend. The bedrooms are a good size and have good quality beds. There is a nice balcony and kitchen that is open to the living room. The garage is also a good size. The location is near perfect, short drive to everywhere or a decent walk.

Highly recommend staying in this beautiful home for any occasion! The house is comfortable, cute, and has everything you could need while away from home. Very accommodating to families but also great for groups of friends. Location is safe and pretty quiet, 5 minute drive to downtown. Little bonus, the beds were very comfortable!

This home is beautifully decorated and so clean. It’s well-stocked. The garage for parking was great because it was rainy during our stay. We did not hear any neighbors or road noise, and the home is not attached to another property. It’s within walking distance to cafes, restaurants and some shops. Close enough to walk or run to the TART trail, including the trail around Boardman Lake, which is so beautiful. The management company is very nice and accessible. My only suggestion is - if you plan to bring a pet, inquire first about the rules and fee. The listing might be updated by now.

We totally enjoyed the stay. We had our little Maltese puppy with us and they had a bed and toys waiting for her arrival. It was spotless and had more extras than most 5 star hotels would have. Everything was clearly labeled(loved the labels) and very organized. I would highly recommend this rental and would love to stay again in the future.

What an awesome choice we made staying here. Close to the TART trail. We rode bikes to Suttons Bay, spent a day in Leland, and enjoyed some delicious meals in TC. The home was new, clean, comfortable mattresses, and lots of home-like toiletry and kitchen items. Book now!

What a lovely experience to walk into a vacation home seen only online and have it exceed your expectations. This home was true to its advertised information, but there were so many extras that made our experience outstanding. Here are a few: absolutely lovely decor with luxury hotel-level bedding and towels and toiletries; fully stocked kitchen with the type of modern attractive dishware and cookware you would like at home and such thoughtful additions as a coffee bean grinder and fully stocked spice rack; carefully selected art showing special Traverse City area locations; magazine rack full of information on local attractions; beach towels and beach chairs; a cabinet full of games, and best of all, special towels, toys and feeding dishes for our dog. The hosts communicated with us regularly and invited us to reach out with any needs or questions. We appreciated having access to a garage and places to park cars. Overall, we would say that this location and these hosts deserve more than 5 stars.
