"The property is central to the area it's in close to food and other shopping deal staff is helpful and I was checked in quickly and without any problems. The overall look of the place could use a little makeover but it's not effecting how comfortable I slept in the quiet room I occupied. Will stay again. "
"very unique place. Loved the mid century style. check in staff was so friendly and helpful.. liked the room Walked to some decent food. Just a cool, funky, safe, easy, friendly place to stay. "
"Nostalgically rustic, beautiful, home overlooking the Smith River. For our family reunion group of 18, it was comfortable and spacious. This location is sits at the crossroads between Trees of Mystery and Brookings Or. All our activties took place here. It was perfect and secluded. Thouroughly delightful time"
"Please stay . This is a clean quiet at the beach. Walk to Chart Room, and a couple other restaurants on the ocean
Excellent location , business trip."
"Old-fashioned nautical decor and rooms that could be updated. However, everything was clean, big rooms with lots of space, helpful service. We would absolutely stay here again."
Seaside Vacation Rental Fantastic Ocean and Battery Point light House veiws
10/10 Excellent
"Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The house had everything we could have needed and more. We appreciated the good communication with the owners too. We would not have made it to the light house for a tour if they had not shared the schedule. 100% would recommend this place to help make any vacation the best possible. "
"This is one of the few nice hotels in Crescent City, CA. Beware all the other cruddy motels there! The rooms were very nice, the service was great, the breakfast was yummy, the pool and exercise facilities were immaculate and well-serviced. And a big plus, we were able to bring our dog on this Redwoods trip!"
A Beautiful Vacation Awaits You on the Emerald Smith River!
10/10 Excellent
"Its a beautiful spot. Joe has built himself a slice of paradise. Maybe it was because of the unusal heat wave but no fan and made the cabin super warm. The last night we slept down stairs to avoid the heat. Its not far from town. The views were stunning. I didnt mind the lack of wifi. If you sat outside it was just enough to get my daily wordle in and call it a day. He shared his yummy peaches. Gave us a tour of his orchard. It really is a special spot. He is on the property but more like a nice nieghbor. Gave us privacy and we had the river spot to ourselves most of the day! I have never swam in the Smith River so it was a treat. Joes spot makes you dream of having your own someday. What you need to know:No Temp control other than windows. (Wood stove if your going in winter)Pack like your camping food wise. Stairs are well as others said a bit on the adventurous side.Water pressure is low in shower only for some reason. They have towels, beds and bedding, dishes, some herbs. So bring the rest. We went to town on day 2. Got what we needed. Farted around. It was super pleasant. They have board games too.I cant wait to visit the Smith again! Joe had some locals over after he and they worked all day volunteering clearing trails. They told me about other hikes and local spots. It was a lovely trip. Im glad I got to.meet Joe and see such a beautiful area."
"We really enjoyed staying here, would definitely come back. Location was perfect for beaches and the Redwoods. There is literally no view from the windows and it got a bit hot but compared to the pros those are nit picking. Loved the area and the apartment :)"

"This is a really clean cute space to stay! The hosts were very responsive and made sure we were comfortable! It’s a great place to sleep and spend a little down time on your trip.It is in a residential neighborhood, which should be noted as we were not expecting that. It’s close to many hiking, sightseeing, and fun activities!"

Footsteps to Pebble Beach & Short Drive to Redwoods
10/10 Excellent
"Highly recommend this cottage as a home base for exploring Redwood National and State parks. Property was very clean, got a good nights sleep in the comfy beds and appreciated being able to do laundry in the middle of our trip. Great communication with hosts. "
"I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were. It is definitely one of those older stucco motel buildings, so I was a little leary about booking a room there. But the rooms are really, really, nice.

"Our check in was effortless , we had no problems with anything. The kitchen was fabulous. It was spacious and fully stocked with any dish or utensil needed .This is definitely my dream kitchen. "
"We had a great stay at this cute property! It’s a few miles from crescent city but easy to get to/from and close to redwoods parks. Host was amazingly responsive and proactive. Inside is very well done and outside is a beautiful yard. Even outside the tsunami zone as we learned during the recent tsunami warning! "
"Amazing amenities! Close to everything. Host gave great places to hit while there and was very friendly and communicated alot . Only feedback would be if the A/C worked alittle better but you are by the ocean! Just open the windows!!"
