"Our stay at Constance Belle Mare Plage was very enjoyable. The hotel infrastructure in itself is a delight and the overall standards very high in every corner of the resort. "

"Clean room. Helpful staff. Very relaxed and calm environment. Hotel didn't feel crowded even though full. Hotel staff put considerable effort to run Christmas events - which were excellent. Visited in December when Mauritius can be hot, hotel is located on east of island with a cool breeze. "

"Excellent hotel in a stunning location
We had a wonderful stay at Lux Le Morne Mauritius. The hotel is excellent, spotlessly clean, and set on a truly beautiful beach with breathtaking views.
One of the highlights of our trip was swimming with wild dolphins — absolutely well worth doing and an unforgettable experience.
I would definitely recommend spending the extra for an ocean view room; waking up to that view really added something special to our stay.

"Beautiful spot on the cliff over the Indian Ocean on the south coast of Mauritius. About 40 minutes from the airport, including the track through the sugar cane plantation.
Quiet except for the continuous roaring of the sea and the waterfall.
Wonderful staff, friendly and courteous. In particular the chief chef who made fascinating meals in local style.
Perfect, if you want something different from the standard resorts.

"Great all inclusive. Good food and lovely staff. Plenty of beach chairs and things to do on the resort. Please note that Expedia says it closes at 8pm for check in, however the hotel front desk is open 24/7. So can check in after 8pm. "

"A free water taxi takes you to an outdoor shopping mall with some premium stores as well as local crafts. Several restaurants and more touristy souvenir shops as well. Did not try the light rail station nearby. A nice hotel away from the noise and bustle of the city yet close enough to walk to most attractions. "

The restaurant was very good overall, although a few more themed evenings would be welcome, especially for guests staying for two weeks or longer.
The staff were amazing, particularly in the restaurant. They shared great tips about the island, made us laugh, and even brought us bowls of fresh lychees at breakfast — such a lovely touch. A special thank you to Cindy and Viswanee for making our stay even more memorable.
We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel."
"I was not inconvenienced by booking 2 separate reservations and I did not need to move.
I am VIP at Expedia.
So one reservation, I didn’t get a room upgrade.
One reservation, I did get a room upgrade.
Best of all worlds would have been to
Received all room upgrades plus
No need to move from the best room.
So that would have meant a 2 step upgrade on the second reservation.
Also, it was not highlighted that I would receive a 20% discount on spa services. All staff should have known this and should have promoted this saving. Would have been good for the resort and good for me. "
"Great hotel with amazing friendly staff . Came with my 90 year old mom and she really enjoyed her stay too . Thank you to all the staff there who were friendly , kind and courteous. We will definitely be back . "
The best area to stay in Union Park is generally around the town center, particularly near the main thoroughfare of Royal Road, for convenient access to local amenities and transportation.
Union Park itself is primarily a residential area, so visitors looking for accommodations will find a selection of guesthouses and smaller hotels scattered throughout. The town center provides easy access to essential services like shops, local eateries, and public transport stops. This area is suitable for solo travelers or those on a budget who wish to explore the more local side of Mauritius away from the main tourist resorts.
For those seeking a more secluded and tranquil experience, particularly couples, areas slightly outside the immediate town center, closer to the natural landscapes, might be appealing.
When is the best time to go to Union Park?
The best time to visit Union Park, Grand Port, Mauritius, is generally during the cooler, drier months from May to December.
This period avoids the high humidity and heavy rainfall of the summer cyclone season (January to March), ensuring more comfortable conditions for exploring the area's natural beauty. While temperatures are pleasant year-round, these months offer ideal weather for outdoor activities and sightseeing.
For those interested in hiking and exploring the national parks, the months of September through November are particularly good. The weather is consistently clear, and the lush vegetation is at its peak after the winter rains, making for picturesque landscapes. This is especially true for couples or solo travelers looking to experience the scenic trails and waterfalls without the discomfort of intense heat or rain.
Travelers looking for a tranquil escape will appreciate the period from May to June.
