"Our overnight stay was delightful. Room was modern and clean. Restaurant was superb. Highly recommend a dinner there. Staff was super friendly and efficient. Shoutout to Margaux in the dining room-a wonderful young woman, and also to the staff who checked us out who went out of their way to correct a billing error as we were about to drive away to the Lyon airport. "we arrived late (10pm). The recpetion was closed and we have not been contacted. We called the hotel and one person has replied: quiet agressive and not relaxed, more focus on telling us "we did not respect the time to arrive...". No light at the reception, and the way to indicate us where to find the keys was not pleasant..."

"The reviews online rave about the very nice rooms. The reviews and hotel info do not make clear that arriving with a car is very difficult logistically. The hotel boat is moored where there is only a pedestrian footpath. There is no where close by to drop the bags for easy access, many meters from where cars are allowed. There are no actual staff at the location, only virtual staff who cannot help with the luggage drop or movement. You get parking recommendations only after the cancel window has closed and in reality, the two car parks within 10 minute walk are community lots filled by local apartment dwellers. You can wait around for a spot to open but locals scout openings for their friends and not friendly to outsiders waiting. If you have any mobility issues, be aware you may need to carry/pull your suitcases at least 700 kilometers that could include stairs. So getting to La Peniche may require escape room types logic skills to achieve if you are older, have any mobility issues, and arrive by car. We failed and forfeited a nights stay because we could not make it work. In retrospect, plan for a more secure car park further away ( like the Greco Roman Museum lot) and taxi as close as you can to the boat."

"C’est un endroit féerique. Le propriétaire est très sympathique et nous a parlé de son projet et de ses rénovations. Le souper était vraiment excellent. Un des meilleurs que nous ayons mangé en France. Nous y retournerons sans douter et nous informerons nos amis de ce magnifique endroit."
