"Very clean and tidy apartment. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom. Nice security being behind an electric gate, although it is a nice neighborhood. All of the appliances looked new, very clean. A person could easily walk to historic downtown to check out what it has to offer. The Hosts live on the premises, so it is easy to communicate with them. If a person is looking for a single room apartment to use for a bit, I don't think you could find a cleaner and nicer one than this. I will...

"Great place, my only complaint was that the bathtub drain would not close completely...it doesn't hold water very long. I enjoy a bath and it was very short"

"This is a lovely little cabin. It's like a motel room, not a separate bedroom and living room, but it works and is comfortable and convenient. There's even a little gas fireplace so it'd be fun to come back in cool weather. My husband claims it's the best shower he's ever had anywhere. The access to the lake is down 2 sets of steep stone steps, but there's a railing provided and wasn't a problem, even for my husband with some mobility issues. We had breakfast every morning on the screen porch overlooking the lake. The only downside, for us at least, was not having restaurants nearby. We had to drive nearly 30 minutes to get to a very small town with limited choices. If we'd realized that, we'd have brought more food along. We swam in the lake every day - it's very private. The bottom of the lake is rocky so you might want to bring along water shoes. Lovely sunsets, and we even got to see the eagles!"

"The house is a 3 bedroom, not 5. A tv in the 3rd bedroom would have been nice…but we brought an extra.The house itself is cozy & great if you like camping. The photos of the property describe it. The pool & deck were our favorite parts!!!Lake levels were low so we couldn’t access the lake from the property. The neighborhood itself is nice & quiet. We didn’t have any neighbors so it was “secluded”. We were able to extend our stay. Our host, Chuck, was every prompt in answering questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

"This piece of heaven was just what we needed---to be in the country surrounded by nature and staying in the most adorable place ever! The Hobbit House was so quiet and cozy and allowed my husband and I to completely get away from it all! The home is so unique and well conceived. We loved the comfortable king bed, the great kitchen plus the jacuzzi in the bathroom and all the hidden surprises everywhere! We were given a golf cart to use during our stay to fully explore the acreage. It was such fun going along the trails, of which there were many! We enjoyed meeting all of the beautiful horses and the donkey! We floated on rafts in the serene lake which was wonderful! Coming back to take an outdoor shower was also a unique delight! Randy, the owner, was extremely friendly and kind and very responsive when we had questions. The four days on the property truly fed our soul and was just what we needed. We hope to be back again in this hidden jewel! The Hobbit House will be forever imbedded in our memories as being a true experience in every way. Thank you to Randy and your family for so generously sharing your property with us!"
