"While many of the reviews we read about Redwood were glowing, we found the property to be fairly run-down with a scary, pot-holed filled 2-mile one-track “road” to the hotel. Very surprising that Redwood doesn’t maintain its main road to better standards & a big negative for us. The people who staff the hotel are nice & food was ok. (Breakfast better than dinner.) But unfortunately, we can’t recommend it due to the access and overall maintenance issues mentioned above."

Iain gave us all the info we needed well in advance and even left us a lovely note and snacks as it was our honeymoon. Being able to do laundry was a huge plus too! "We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The setting is spectacular, the views are incredible, and the grounds are lovely. We really enjoyed taking the time to explore the property. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. We especially appreciated the unlimited water, hot chocolate, tea, and Nespresso pods. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was wonderful, and having electrical outlets on every wall was surprisingly convenient. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast could not have been better. The staff truly made our stay special. Everyone was friendly and attentive, but we would particularly like to mention Cat and Frazier at the front desk. They were exceptionally welcoming, accommodating, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The magnificent setting, comfortable accommodations, excellent food, and outstanding staff made this a truly memorable stay. We would gladly recommend this hotel."
