“We didn't receive our check in details, so had a panicked few minutes when we arrived and couldn't get in. Soon resolved. The lodge is very remote along a narrow, twisty, well used road. Lovely views, hot tub was fab, as were the views You could take bikes as a mile or so is access to the Strawberry line, an off road cycle path. Road quite hazardous though so not suitable for small children on bikes.Nice dog walk as cows not out and it was dry.Swimming pool looked nice but was out of season, so……

“Lovely spacious living room/kitchen area for 10 to enjoy.Great hot tub just outside and good parking area. Local area with Cheddar and Wells short drives away. Quiet and relaxing 3 nights. ”

“We had a wonderful stay here. It was incredibly quaint, peaceful and clean. The location was perfect - close to all the key areas. We visited Bruton, Wells, Weston, Bath and Bristol. It took about a 30 minute walk to nearest pub. The little touches made all the difference, and the warm welcome (complete with Cider) was truly appreciated. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, charming getaway. ”

“The pictures were n the sight are deceiving,the property was damp and dirty and we could not stay in it,apparently it was cleaned two weeks prior to our stay,cleaning should have been done the day before,the owner was very uncooperative,and has not issued a refund ,indeed he has ignored my request”

“The Shepherds Nest is the best Shepherds Hut we’ve stayed in, for space, amenities and for hospitality. It’s well built, furnished to a high standard and there’s a lot of thought gone into everything. Charlie and Carol were really welcoming and there were lots of little touches, and nice surprises on our arrival. The outside bath is great, in all weathers! We’d highly recommend.”
