Future Inns Cardiff Bay

Future Inns Cardiff Bay

8/10 Good
"This is our second vstsy at this hotel and again stayed in the twin room with two queen beds with our two young children. Room and beds were spacious and clean. Good strength shower and clean bath. If being picky. Breakfast was a bit haphazard on the weekends. Maybe not enough staff on and a lot more guests staying but guests were constantly having to chase staff to replenish breakfast items/bread/cups etc so ended up with lots of ppl standing around waiting. But a lot better on the weekdays. Still highly recommend the stay and prices were very very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area."

8/10 Good
"I had booked through hotels.com and had got a good b&b deal. It hadn't been made clear, though, that there would be a parking charge of £9. I was pleased that the receptionist reduced this to £6 which was a helpful gesture - apparently Ibis do not own or run the car park. The room and twin beds (made into a superking) were comfy. Having a socket by the mirror was useful; there was a lovely large shower cubicle. Good breakfast overall, though poor selection in cereals (eg no weetabix) and spreads (eg no marmite). Very nice scrambled egg (once I'd added s&p). No fried eggs as standard but when my husband asked for these they were made to order. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had already checked in online but I'm not clear what the point of that was so that was a waste of time. We had to wait a long time for the (very pleasant) receptiionist to be able to deal with us on arrival, where we had to check in and pay for parking. There was no self-check-in-kiosk."

"Good place for a mid budget stay, fairly close to the centre (15 mins walk from station) , friendly reception and cafe staff, clean comfortable rooms (one bedside light not working Rm 257) a nice clean swimming pool and spa set up. Popular with families but not chaotic. We had breakfast outside - nice cafe in Trade Street 10 mins away. If you have time do a circuit walking the local ex industrial canals outside - part of old Cardiff Bay’s coal history."
