Beautiful day at Waimea Canyon on Kauai, Hawaii. If you ever go to Kauai make sure to make the drive to Waimea Canyon to see spectacular views of both the canyon and the Na Pali coast. For views of the coast you have to drive to the end of the canyon road. A lot of people make the mistake of turning around after visiting the Canyon lookout point never realizing that a beautiful view of the coast awaits at the top of the road.
I never expected to find this lovely stream flowing down from Waimea Canyon but the red earth caught my attention from the road and a very short hike revealed a wonderland.
We rented a jeep to driver out to the canyon. It was totally worth the trip!

Great hotel, we enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Rooms were clean, 2 pools and hot tubs and loungers were nice. Parking could be a bit of a pain, and the attached restaurant/bar that was on the beach was too expensive, so we found other really great options in Kapaa.

My main complaint was that many ice machines were out of order. Also we were hoping to stream a sports event on Apples TV but the choices for “Internet TV” was minimal. I would have expected more options at a resort like this. Otherwise a very nice stay.
