“This is our second stay at Oakwood Lodges. Smooth transaction from booking to check in and check out. All information provided prior to check in including a telephone call which I found helpful. Lodges are all unique in their own styles. Lodge was clean and everything provided from away from home. Very comfortable. We took the children this time and they loved the hot tub, game of pool and darts, we were all kept entertained.”

“Becca and Tony made us feel very welcome, both before arrival and during our stay. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Some of the automatic, sensor lights seemed to take a bit of working out with some switches not in an obvious place.Tip: Take or buy a rubber mat for the shower rooms, especially if mobility is an issue.Very quiet and dark at night.”

“We had a lovely 3 night stay in the Bluebell shepherds hut. The accommodation was well equipped, and beautifully decorated. We couldn't have asked for a comfier bed! The hot was an added treat and just as lovely in the drizzle!Only thing that could be improved is better Wi-Fi connection, it is there, just intermittent. Sue was a delight to be welcomed by and had we needed anything, I have no doubt we would have received it quickly.”

“Had a wonderful time the lodge was gorgeous and very homely. I would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet week away. The hot tub was amazing and the bath with the LED lights was such a nice touch. The only small thing was that the toilet light was on a sensor and kept turning off while we were in there. But other than that a beautiful place to stay.”

“absolutely excellent stay here. Great proximity to city centre but still quiet and private. The host is very responsive and the instructions to find/get in the apartment were clear and concise. Unfortunately the WiFi was down during our stay but the host made me aware of this beforehand and reimbursed me for the public paid WiFi instantly upon check out. overall a 5* star stay and I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for somewhere great to stay in york.”

“Wren provided us ample space and comfort for our 3 night stay. We really enjoyed our stay. On arrival at the cottage we found a welcome basket with teas, coffee, hot chocolates, biscuits and even a couple of small bottles of wine as well as a bottle of milk in the fridge. A lovely touch. As I was unpacking the car one of the property owners from the nearby property came over to welcome us and check everything was ok and told us the they had already lit the hot tub and it should be ready for us……

“A lovely spacious converted barn with easy and safe parking. The photos do not do the living area justice. It is much bigger than expected. There are doors leading to an enclosed garden from the kitchen, lounge and double bedroom. Each bedroom having its own en-suite was a bonus. Convenient for visiting York and the coast. A delightful weekend for three generations and 2 dogs.”
