In the middle of Jackson county Minnesota surrounded by endless fields of corn and soybeans, resides a steak house that locals across the region drive hours to come eat at. Bergen, Minnesota is hardly a town, more like four farm houses that sit at a crossroad with a Norwegian sign that reads "Velkommen". The sirloins, ribeye, and New York strips are fresh, juicy staples of bovine Midwest meat. People sip on Schell beer (brewed from nearby New Ulm) on the patio while they wait for their names to be called inside to dine. For a venture into the country and an excellent culinary experience, Bergen is worth checking out.

Its alright....EXCEPT...traffic control. The amount of traffic, hwys 60,62,and 71 meet there. There could be more control where 71 north hits town.

Sorry, we did not have time to spend in Windom. We made a late night stop and off to Madison, SD for a family reunion. Maybe next time we can explore around. Lots of construction hard to get around.
