The place was nice and in a good location but a little more attention to detail in the rooms is needed. Cobwebs on the lamp shades hanging from the roof and in the bathroom there was a strange circular wonky table that looked a bit out of place.

Ideally situated. A few minutes walk to the city walls & one street back from river & bridge to city centre. Cosy double room was exactly that! Stayed 2 nights. Quiet peaceful room. Coffee pods & coffee bags plus choice tea bags along with small bottle of fresh milk. Great shower room. Air con adjustable in room, though it cut off after a few hours. Quite hot throughout the night as quilt was also heavy.Breakfast had many choices, cooked & continental. Friendly attentive staff throughout. Able to park car prior to check in and offered to use car park after check out. Parking charge £15 a day. Would stay again, thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I'm a regular stayer at Middletons. It is great for a business overnight. Parking is on-site and it is very convenient for the city centre. Rooms are lovely as are staff. It always has a nice relaxed cosy vibe.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and lovely food. Good breakfast menu and the evening meal was amazing - highly recommended. We had no problem getting parked and it took just five mins to walk into the centre of York. We will definitely be booking again.
