Very nice charming hotel near Old York. Very nice staff and responsive. Only drawback was noise in the downstairs guest rooms early morning and evening but quiet at night.

Great quirky hotel.
Great quirky hotel, good location, staff were excellent very welcoming and helpful. Room was spacious with a lovely bathroom with a big shower and slipper bath. Only criticism the mattress was too firm So unfortunately we didn’t have a great nights sleep.

Not as good as on previous visit. Modern refurbishment has taken away the character of the place. Stayed in family sized room which was very small for a family. Food choice was very limited and over priced. As property is in it's own grounds, I felt it was unfair to charge £15 per night for parking
