We stayed at Tulia for 5 days following a safari. The resort was amazing but the best part was the staff. They did everything they possibly could to make our stay the best it could be. They were the friendliest, happiest people we have come across in our travels. The food was outstanding, with plenty of options. We arrived for our honeymoon and it was simply a dream! The room is breathtaking, decorated to the most beautiful level we have ever seen, privacy, private pool, we took all inclusive and enjoyed every moment, the hotel staff was warm, charming and pleasant and responded to our every request, the hotel has 2 restaurants, in the main hotel restaurant the breakfast was excellent, the second restaurant on the beach the lunch and dinner were excellent and we felt like we were in a Michelin...

The hotel has a very quiet and enjoyable beachfront. The property is spacious so you don't feel that there are other guests. The buildings are very well maintained and the food is godd and reasonably priced. The bungalows are not air conditioned so it might get a bit warm during the very humid months (April and May). Overall a great stay. Definitely recommended !

This was my first hotel in Zanzibar and I would return in heartbeat to stay longer. The aesthetic was relaxing, the owners were present and enjoyable to visit with. The food was DELICIOUS!! It was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable. The waters are somewhat shallow on the beach in the morning and then rise as the day continues. Be sure and wear water sandals or footwear with a hard sole. A beautiful white sandy beach and well maintained hotel is the core of this lush resort. Supported by a very friendly staff and competent management guarantees a great experience. The food is excellent and if you have a chance, try the private dinner setting at the beach with your very own server. Finally the Sultan "s bath and couples massage is the ultimate experience . I celebrated my honeymoon on June 8th at Lux and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. In fact, I plan to return next year at the same time. I hope to see Grace, who works at the reception. Very unique and one of a kind hotel in the middle of stone town. Surely you can settle for comfort and choose Hyatt but you can do that anywhere in the world. Emerson Spice is a truly exceptional hotel with a very attentive staff. You will be wowed!

When you book a hotel you always read reviews with a pinch of salt. This hotel has fantastic reviews and with good reason. Everything from the welcome to our departure was absolutely first class without exception. A few members of staff deserve a special mention - Bernard, Mtoto, Nema and Baracka all helped make our stay extra special. The staff in general are exceptional including the kitchen staff who turn out superb food time after time and catered to my wife’s vegetarian requirements...

Deluxe Apartment Sea Facing- 10/10. Clean. Great size. Quiet. Excellent view. First floor, so avoided noisy neighbours above us. Decent, but small safe. A/C worked well. Bathroom - 10/10. Clean. Lovely shower. Bed - 10/10. Very large. Very comfy. Mozzy nets and turn down service at night. WiFi - 10/10. Very good, considering where we were. Worked fine down by the pool and even worked by the beach! Pool - 10/10. Good size. Nice and clean laid out pool area, with plenty of loungers and shade....

Amazing service, and nice staff. It felt like a community and I was able to meet people from all around the world and we all started hanging out and doing activities together. I will definitely visit again.

Very friendly staff settled in a beautiful surrounding. Great pool, and everything is so clean. We felt really looked after. How ever, it said in various sites that there is a beach here, it is, maybe 25 sq meter in total, but with no acces to the sea, there is a very large ref.

On arrival we were greeted by the manager Tony who was great throughout the trip. The check-in was hassle free. The property is nice and upgraded. There is minor renovations going on but without any inconvenience to guests. The resort was very private and feels like you have the entire staff and property all to yourself with minimal visibility of other guests except for the dining area. There are no nearby restaurants to venture off to but the hotel food was excellent and no complaints. There...
