“The comforter had stains. Breakfast was set up with no care given to it. The front guest person was at the desk sleeping both evenings I came in. I mean you get what you pay for.”

The property is clearly old and neglected—the hallway had a persistent, unpleasant smell, the carpet in the room looked decades old, and the towels and bed cover carried a musty odor. To make matters worse, the microwave didn’t work, the TV had only a handful of channels, and the online photos bore little resemblance to the tired, worn-down reality we walked into. We would not stay here again unless absolutely forced to, and……
