“It's really unfortunate and surprising that the ALL the usual big name hotel brands are so bad in Cuero. This particular hotel is VERY tired, VERY smelly and lacking the expected usual Marriott experience. From the moment you walk in, the mildew smell hits you hard. The first room I was assigned, 205 smelled horrible of mold/mildew. Was very damp and simply unacceptable. I had to make a trip to the from desk and request another room. The second room I was assigned didn't smell of mold or mildew……

“Room was clean and a great size. Bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet! AC struggled a little to keep the humidity down but it was ok. Breakfast could have been better - several things ran out 30 minutes before breakfast ended and there was no meat served on one day. On the good side, there were real eggs instead of powered. Overall a good stay.”

“Was located center of downtown, walking distance to shopping and eating. Alot of choices. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking was simple. Spent half day at ottine mineral spring. Just something else to do while staying in Gonzales”

“The property was clean, our room was the right size. The manager was very nice. We stayed on the Fourth of July, so the town was crowded. We had easy access plenty of room for boats. Best place to stay in Port Connor. Especially if you’re there to fish.”

“This was the first time we have stayed in Seadrift and I just wanted it to be nice for our 56th anniversary. But, this rental was not just nice- it was truly exceptional. I was very impressed by: 1) it was a completely separate cabin - did have steps up to porch and main door. 2) it was large and air conditioned and super clean. - had a bedroom first- with king size bed. (very, very comfortable) and a large TV (with Direct TV). I was excited to watch MLB on it. After the bedroom area, there……

“There was no available TV or radio, only one chair, and the overhead fan did not work Also, just 2 Keurig cups of available coffee for two days and two people”

“The property was beautiful with some very nice sitting areas. The pool was very nice & the room quite comfortable. The hostess Vanessa was welcoming & made a lovely breakfast each day with fresh coffee, baked goods & hot food. She went above & beyond to make our stay nice. We would definitely come again. There are some great restaurants in Gonzales as well. ”
