"Location cannot be beat. Just steps to Hanalei Beach, and less than 1 mile into town. The Hanalei Pier is only a 20 min walk along the beach. The house itself is nothing fancy, but the views and location are incredible. Huge open front lawn is perfect for kids to run and play. My 13, 10, and 7 year old boys had a blast. Would come back in a heartbeat."

"This house is in the perfect location. You can walk to town and walk to the beach in less than 5 mins. My family loved our stay. There was plenty of towels and everything you need to cook. All the beach equipment was amazing. We loaded up the wagon and walked to the beach for the day. The only downside was the family room upstairs gets pretty hot in the afternoon. Maybe it was just the time of year. Lovely view from the porch. If you have a large crowd make a trip to Costco for groceries because the food is expensive. Also make sure you don't have over 6 guests or you'll end up paying extra even though it says sleeps 10. Overall we had an amazing time. Would definitely go again. "

"The River House was a perfect oasis for me and my family. Having visited Hanalei many times over the past decade, we were already very familiar with the area and choice of accommodations. While some condos have fantastic ocean views (which we prioritized when we first came to this area), we wanted more space (kids no longer little), air conditioning in the evenings, privacy, quiet, beauty and a convenient location to everything we love about Hanalei. We didn't miss the ocean view one bit - it was just a paddle up the river from the property. We had total privacy in the middle of a gorgeous tropical garden, beautiful scents after the rainfall, birdsong and peace. The house was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable, and we had lots of room to spread out. We cooked some lovely meals and felt "at home". We were just a few minutes walk to the local shop for the basics - such friendly folks there, where you can also hop onto the Haena State Park shuttle. We were a few minutes' drive from our favorite beach (Lumaha'i) where the fresh water from the river meets a gorgeous surf, and less than 10 min drive from Hanalei town center. Mark arranged delivery of the paddleboards as well as the gear to attach to our rental car. Wi-Fi worked great. We wouldn't hesitate to return to pretend we were locals for just a few days!"

"Spotless house, perfect location. Surf break in front of the house on many days was great for beginners, and super fun to watch the locals teach their very young kids how to surf. Dinners on the upstairs porch overlooking the bay were fantastic. The house is stocked better than any rental we have stayed in- every beach item you might possibly need including surf boards, and a kitchen that you can really cook in. If we come back to Hanalei Bay, we will stay here again! "

"The Wai’oli was steps to the beach and a quick walk (or even quicker drive) into central Hanalei. Everything was as advertised and the views from the kitchen window / front of the house were spectacular."
