"Friendly staff and clean room!"

"First room I was checked into had a needle and condom wrapper in it. Second room I tried had stains on the pillow and bedspread along with grime on the headboard. Been trying to get a refund now with no success or returned call from a manager👍 will not stay here again "

"We are from Florida and Hotel Captain Cook really stood out for us. We arrived later in day, wonderful staff checked us in, and then we headed to the rooftop restaurant for an appetizer and drink. Highly recommend this hotel for comfort and a cozy experience. "

"Pool deck area was dirty and unsanitary (trash, used band aids, visibly soiled towels lying on the floor!) Also there were no pool towels available even if I’d opted to enter the pool. Lobby, breakfast atea and hallways were very cold. Room appeared to be fairly clean and functional. Front desk staff were pleasant but also freezing (wearing parka and had space heater). "

"My entire stay was more than I expected. From the staff, the room, and beyond. My stay was comfortable, quiet, and worth every penny! My King room was the largest room I’ve ever stayed in. Set up perfectly out ample space to do activities (step brothers). I don’t allow myself to be a burden on the staff. I just relax, and enjoy my surroundings. The only thing I wished…Lake Hood thawed, and planes flying in and out of the area. I will for sure stay here on my next trip through Alaska. Thank you all for making my stay so nice. "
