The fishing available in Alaska is unlike any other, so bring your poles or rent fishing gear nearby. The charming trails of Fish Creek Trail & the Coastal Trail are also nearby, offering a safe and lighted path to some local parks. Tour the area and discover the Bear Tooth Theatre, Lake Hood Seaplane Base, and the Rustic Goat. The home is also near the airport. Thanks to a sky-bridge that puts you at eye-level with passing trains, you can venture on foot or bike to the nearby breathtaking Coastal Trail or Earthquake Park without crossing a main street. After a day of adventuring, relax in the bubbling hot tub to end the day on the perfect note, where you might hear the comforting clucking of the small flock of egg-laying hens. Enjoy fresh eggs during your stay while the owners do all the chicken-tending.

Upon entry, you'll find a bright interior and a cozy atmosphere throughout the well-appointed living area. Relax on the soft furniture, curl up with a good book from the library by the wood-burning stove, or indulge in a favorite movie by the large TV to make yourself at home. Marvel at the small details crafted over the years throughout this 1948 cabin, lovingly reimagined by decades of craftsman like hand-made doors, icing on the roof, and fossils mounted in the walls. Enjoy the pristine sound system with ceiling speakers for an evening relaxing ambiance. Prepare grand meals and hiking snacks in the full kitchen, equipped with plenty of counter space and a big viewing window. Comfortable beds in spacious bedrooms ensure that everyone will get a restful night's sleep from the day's activities. A dedicated workspace with a power strip is available for those who need to work remotely. For the ultimate convenience, a washer/dryer is provided to take clean laundry home with you when it's time to return to everyday life. The bathrooms have been remodeled and have heated towel-drying racks, with the downstairs bathroom boasting a heated floor.

Outside, the enclosed yard boasts picnic tables, chairs, and a charming area to chat with loved ones or pick berries in the summer surrounded by trees. THINGS TO KNOW
There is a zero-tolerance policy for extra guests at any time. Violating the maximum occupancy of six people will result in immediate eviction from the premises of all parties. No refunds will be issued.
For little guests, a Pack N Play and baby gates are provided.
Please be aware of the steep steps and the railroad behind the property.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting 'Yes' to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The $20 nightly fee will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
