“I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay.”

“Couldn't wish for a better welcome, hosts were exactly my cuppa - laid back and relaxed at all times. Looked after well before I even got to the site and enjoyed an unexpected upgrade. Very decent breakfast to set me up also. Hope to stay there again soon!”

“The place was run down and looked like a construction site in the lodge I stayed at. Downstairs room had flooring ripped up and plastering everywhere. There was no security so the main door to the property was propped open the entire time, meaning anyone could walk straight in- which they did. You also couldn’t lock your room door from inside so not safety whatsoever. On top of that there was absolutely no hot water to take a shower the whole of my stay. Was definitely NOT worth the discounted……
