“EXCELLENT GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT. HANDY ACCESS AT BACK GATE TO OUR CAR WHICH WAS PARKED AT THE SIDE. CLEAN, COMFORTABLE BEDS, PLENTY OF HOT WATER AND ALL MOD CONS. EDZELL IS A LOVELY SMALL TOWN WITH SOME GREAT WALKS NEARBY. EMILY WAS A PERFECT HOST WHO EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO US ON ARRIVAL. WE WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN STAYING HERE AGAIN.”

“Facilities and interior of the cottage were first class,5 minutes walk to the many pubs and restaurants in the Ferry,nice outdoors seating area when the sun’s shining which was all week. Only downside was very small double bed. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!”

“Had a lovely weekend staying at Birnie Cottage. Aileen was great at giving information prior to our arrival and gave us a lovely welcome with scones, butter and jam. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and we were lucky enough to be able to sit out 2 evenings enjoying the sun and the garden.
The cottage is in a peaceful location and had the benefit of woods behind it that we could walk our dogs. Although the garden is enclosed it isn't……

“A true escape very equipped for slow living, with everything you could possibly need for self catering. The wood burning stove after a long rainy walk was just the perfect welcome, comfortable mezzanine bed, great shower and very clean throughout and every detail well thought through. “A very comfortable stay in a Shepherds Hut which i could live in ☺️ nice wee kitchenette with shower room and toilet and a very comfortable bed. Emma was very welcoming and showed me took accommodation and told me things i needed ro know. Restaurant on site was very good too! 😃”
