"The Marlborough is a pub with tasty food and about five rooms for overnight stays. The staff is outstanding and does everything possible to be helpful. It is on a central street of a very small town, so it can be a bit noisy during the day and early evening, but is quiet at night. The rooms have nice versions of all the basics, including a good bed and excellent shower. There are few extra amenities beyond the room and pub, although the breakfast was very good. For a longer stay, the room had only a few hooks on the wall, but the owner immediately provided a long rack with hangars on request. It is a short walk to several tea shops, a grocery store, and the Assembly Hall and church. Overall I felt very well looked after during my two week stay for a workshop."

"This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime, with exquisite food, terrific service, a knowledgeable sommelier and wonderful ambience at tables outside under large parasols. Staff offer free shuttle service to and from both restaurants whenever required. A super weekend, we will return."

"My Friends and I stayed at Cosgrove Cottage over the weekend just gone, and it was nothing short of magical. The setting is simply beautiful, right on the edge of the Forest. The marketing photos do not do it justice, you have to see it to believe it. The presentation of the actually property was immaculate and the Owners were very possibly the nicest people I have ever met. Warm, welcoming and extremely accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The Tour of the Grounds was informative but relaxed, and we had the most wonderful time. I shall be returning and I urge anyone to visit this place at least once. Top Drawer!!!!!"
